Pet owners love Halloween and being able to dress up their four-legged friends in costumes. For those dogs and cats donning these spooky outfits, maybe not so much. Have you ever tried to put a vampire cape on a cat? I don't recommend it. But darn it, they do look adorable.... sorry Whiskers.

PetSmart's Monster Cute Facebook Contest gave pet owners the opportunity to deck out their pets, with the chance to win prizes. I wrote all of the copy for the contest including the social media posts, e-mails, and the announcement of the winners. I also came up with the line, “Sharing is scaring” to encourage people to share their pets’ photos across social media.

The contest generated 242,431 new likes on Facebook, which was 107% more than the goal of 225,000.
